Arrangements Are Made For “German Day” Here In OctoberGerman Day is to lie celebrated this year in Portsmouth about the middle of October, a resolution to that effect being passed yesterday at the meeting of the German-American Alliance. The committee to lake charge of the celebration will be appointed at the next regular meeting September 10, by the President, J. V. The Maennerchor is rehearsing some of the host songs of the old Vaterlaml for the occasion of the German Day celebration.
