At the foot of the old walk passing up to Rich-; ardson Hall of today, at the time one of three buildings on the Hill, J he fell in step with another youth,. a tall willowy fair haired boy—In conversation that followed he learned the young man was Owen Young coming to St. Lawrence as a freshman in the College of Letters and Science. Young was also one of Dr. IJ Hervey’s finds. The friendship formed on the spot1 lasted through :he years to the close of Dr. Hunt-.ey's life, last January.
