Gander will be a big target for Campbell.Pyle, Dale Hortsman and John Stamp will challenge for a starting spot at tackle and Egger will return at one guard spot while Boomer Tavlor, Jim Adams and RussRichardson all will look to break in at the other starting guard position. Mark Armstrong will return as the starting center.Sophomores Glenn Campbell and Mark Scott have been working at quarterback; VanDusen will be the backup fullback, and Gargasz will spell Beith at wingback“Campbell has been running the option real well for us,” Davis said, adding, “I'm really pleased with the progress he has made in the last 1 week-and'-a-half. He did a real good job of reading (defenses) in our scrimmage with West Middlesex.”“Rodney (Wright) has been running hard — he picked up some good yardage in the scrimmage and Gargasz has been running hard. Davis noted, continuing,“I think our backfield has a little bit more depth than the line.
