And Riding , Heat, breakdowns, and hills in the little Sioux Valley east of Sioux City took their toll, and no accurate count of how many riders finished the ride to Storm Lake was available.But the chief inspiration of the day was provided by Clarence Pickard, a retired In-dianola farmer,.
