Boys from Bronte playing on the team included1 Victor Ivey, Eddie Glenn, Greg Whalen, Jerry Me-Cutchen, Rex Harris, Rudy Phillips, Tommy Glenn Sims, Tommy Lee, Charles Lee, Jackie Corley, Jimmy Wells and Larry Robinson.The Ballinger league was composed of four teams, Lions Club, Bible Class, West Texas Utilities, and Bronte-Norton.Victor Ivey had an enviable real cord as pitcher for the Bronte-Norton club. He pitched 27 innings and had 43 strikeouts, seven hits, eight walks, and alowed only four earned runs. The team won three games and lost two with him on the mound.A shortage of boys of Pony League age caused Bronte and Norton to go together to form a team.
