MR. BARRIER’S CLASS GOESFOR OVERNIGHT HIKE j— - - fIMr. Barrier and Class No. (, of the First Christian church, went to the Johnson ranch last Thursday, ' August 18, for an overnight hike. Many fish were caught and bathing j was the main feature. After camp-i ing overnight a fishing contest was held the next morning. The Class returned at five o’clock Friday afternoon and went to the Crosbyton bridge to eat watermelons. Every member reported that he had a good time. Those present were: Mr.Squyres, Mr. Barrier, Adrain Merrill, Merwin Barrier, Jim Watson, Leland Mast, Mancil Gathings, Maurice Robertson, Paul Squyres, Morton J. Smith, Jr., Eldon Thorp, G. C. Barrier, Jr., and Raymond Barrier.G. W. Penitt, farmer of the Ropes-ville section, was attending to business matters in Lubbock the first of tlys week.
