Sponsored by Tekton Corporation, the trip was an overwhelming success. There was such a great last minute response for tickets that 75 children had to be turned away. The association had no idea that there would be such a last minute rush for tickets. If the association had known in advance of the trip they may have been able to accomodate a lot more children.Forty-seven children were taken by bus to the White Sox game. At the game the children received hot dogs, pop, and a small amount of spending money. Some of the children on the trip got autographs from White Sox players. Many children returned home with souvenir hats and pennants from the ball park. The association would like to thank Tekton Corporation for the financial backing and all the adult chaperones for helping make this trip possible. Without the help of all these people, the children of this village wouldn’t have had the opportunity to attend the game.
