Musirovc.NEW LEGION BALL PARK READY FOR OPENING GAME THURSDAYLegion park will be ready for one grand opening game by 6 o’clock tomorrow night, according lo T. Harry Blatn. contractor, who is building the fence and additional bleachera. The crew of carpenters working at Ibe park will be Increased today. They will work at top speed to have the project in efcape for Thursday. Another feature of the park will be dugouts for the players.The Eagles and the Orange Crush teams, two of the crack cluhs in the Helena City league, bavo been scheduled to clash in the opener.Earl R. Angle, commander of Lewis and Clark Font No. 2 of the American Legion, has been engaged to throw the first ball from Ihe first base section.For the opening game, a section has been reserved along the first base section for members of Lewis and Clark Post No. 2 of the American Legion, the executive council and board of directors.The Legion Post turned Over nearly $650 to the Helena Baseball association, thus assuring construction of the fence and additional bleachers. For this reason It was decided by the promoters that tomorrow night would mark lhe passing of Cafnpbcl! Field. and the opening of Legion Park.Tickets for the opening came, the admission for which will be 25cents, will be on sale only at the park. The ticket window will be open at 5:30 tomorrow. After the opening came, the admission price for the games will bo 15 cents.A special section has been Eel aside for youngsters along the third base lino and they will be admitted free. Anyone, however, who seeks admission to the enclosure must pay the regular admission, regardless of age- No one except Ihe umpire. players, managers and two hat boys will be allowed on the playing field.
