n jiiiciaiiu, nui in ui rittUMin,was fatally injured by a stroke of lightning.Seven miles northwest of Washington, at a picnic, John Hunter, an ex-Peniten-tiarv convict, shot and killed a farmer named Wm. Lents, aged twenty-eight years. Lents and a man named Hawes were fighting when Hunter, who was keeping a lemonade stand, interfered and shot Lents dead.
