There is not tho least bit of friction and the members of the national guard are taking very naturally to camp life. At every point there is an abundance of pure water.The camps w'Cre well selected and the various detachments will be in easy t each of each other in case Gen ChafToe finds it necessary to concentrate his forces at some point.In addition to the government steamers. the Pilgrim, tho largest steamer of the Casco bay licet, is at the disposal of tho military authorities.Mayor Boothby wM Invite Gov Bates of Massachusetts to witness the great parade Aug .'11, after the military operations are over, and when, it is believed, 2000 regular soldiers and 1000 marines and sailers will be Jn line.Naval Brigade Leaves.The US3 Prairie with most of the Massachusetts naval brigade aboard sailed for Portland yesterday to take part in the war game. Eight officers and men will go on tho Inca, as the Prairie could not accommodate them.
