IAfter Hours of Searching rphey areCaught by the Grappling Iron FullDetails of the Trip and the Accident-The Statement of His Friends.The remains of Willie Fleetwood were recovered yesterday, the grappling irons bringing up the bcnly in the South Channel, a!xut n mile south of St. Augustine creek. Capt. W. H. Fleetwood, his fat her, went down, in the morning, on the pilot Isnt j Wilder. Anchoring off St. Augustine creek, the small boats set to work dragging the channel thoroughly. The Captain worked his wav to the railroad embankment, j and from there examined the marsh j carefully with his glasses. Nothing could be seen, but the Captain ascertained there was little prospect of a swimmer's reaching ‘ the railroad embankment. The sari work went on, but unsuccessfully, and just as thesearchers were alout to stop, at 4 o'clock,the body was found, the grapple bringing it up from almost under the boat.THE RETt’RX TO THE CITY.Taking the body on board, they set sail for the city. Tie* signal was displayed for a tug, as was agreed I*1 fore leaving, in the event of finding tie* body, and the Constitution ran down and towed the vessel up, landing at the Lincoln street wharf at about 7 o'clock. A large crowd gathered as t he boat was tied up, and expressions of sympathy for the bereaved parents were heant 011 oil sides. The Coroner was telephoned for, and he came down and took charge of the body. He removed the clot hing. and washed the head and face carefully.No unusual marks or bruises were found ou the bo.l v, and the Coroner said it was a caseof drowning. The body was drestpdin . a blue-check shirt, pahts ami drawers. In his pockets were found his stockings, although tneboys in the part v had siiil they were sun* he had them on when he fell off.
