Choir auditions■ IOWA CITY — Auditions for the Iowa City Girls Choir will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 and Aug. 29 at Mark Twain Elementary School. 1355 DeForest St.The choir, for girls in grades 4 through 6, was established 23 years ago.For the auditions, girls will be asked to sing six melodic echoes and one verse of “America, the Beautiful.
