CLUB NEWSOver the Rainbow Doll Club met Aug. 12 at the home of Brenda Owens. Vera Piersee gave a lesson on vintage paper dolls. Piersee showed several examples of vintage paper dolls and repro-duction of vintage paper dolls. The club will travel to Holton today to visit the doll museum and have high tea at Hotel Josephine. The club’s open meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Lawrence Public Library. Guest speaker will Patti Joyce, who works with the Kansas City Toy and Miniature Museum doing doll repair. Members decided to do doll identification at 6 p.m. prior to the open meeting. Val Fittell won the door prize.
