Once more one of the civic organizations on Peaks Island scores a Victory in its eiTorts to obtain improved service from corporations supplying the Island residents with light, etc. This time it is more gas. Feeling that the gas for the street lights and the homes should be allowed to flow through the mains until a later hour, a concession was obtained from the gas company permitting the service to continue until 1 o'clock in the morning.The members of the Trefethen-Ever-green Improvement Association, who brought this about, naturally feel much gratified, and now. they are turning their attention again to the. transportation problem, which seems .to be ever present at tho island. This was discussed at a mass meeting last Thursday evening. ' - '
