Quite a sensation was occasioned last Saturday and Sunday by the disappearance of Glenn Andrews, the ten-year-old son of Lee Andrews, engineer of the steamer St. Lawrence. One day last week he fortunately found a five dollarbill. The lucky find raised high aspirations inthe mind of the young American and he concluded he would make a trip back to his native place, South Point. He did think it at all necessary to inform the family of his intentions, but pluckily boarded the steamer Minnie Bay about10 o’clock Saturday night. He had previouslyconfided to some of his companions bis plans and this furnished a clue to his friends; but notwithstanding all this they were almost wildover his disappearance, fearing he was drowned. About six o’clock Sabbath evening he returned on the steamer St. Lawrence, his father having telegraphed to different points and in this way checked the young lark’s flight. Boys will be boys, but this one has commenced sowing his wild oats early in life.
