Four women, members of the Le Mars high school graduating class of 1903, got together for a noon luncheon Thursday at Hammer's. Others wereJosephine Winslow and Mrs. Orville Lee (Bertha Bartels), both of Le Mars, and Grace King (Mrs. George) Roths of Hinton.A carnation, the class flower, was placed at each plate.After dinner the women went to Mrs. Lee’s home for an afternoon of visiting and reminiscing All four are former Plymouthcounty teachers, and were close friends in high school.There were 24 members in the class of 1903. They were: Bertha Bartels. Je.nnis Bechtle, Miles Bolser, Ella Burke, Theresa Courtney, Henry Doring, Josic Freeman, Lillian Fureh-ncr, Barbara Gaynor, Otto Gocttcl, Edward Haas, Elspeth Haerling, Blanche Johns, Grace King, Josciah Kistle, Joy Perry, Clarence Roseborry, Theodore Strouse, Elsie Sydenstrick-er, Albert Traeder, Vinnie Vernon, Maude Wilcox, Josephine Winslow and Eugene Yates.Miss Winslow, a longtime teacher at Clark elementary school here, said the highlight of the informal gathering yes* terday was a long talk about what had happened to each member of the 1903 class.
