THE INGRAM COMPANYThe Ingram Company, well known by people of Oxford and community for their clever shows, and excellent dramatization will be in Oxford all next week, playing for six successive nights, each and every show different, entertaining and pleasant, They will pitch their tent on the Scanlon lot as usual.There is no question about it, the people of this community enjoy the Ingram people and their shows. They are good performers and are gentlemanly and ladylike in their conduct wherever they have been. Many people of Oxford will hail with pleasure the annbuncement of their return, and will welcome them to our town.Mr, and Mrs. Francis Ingram and Adam are Iowa people. The two brothers graduating from Davenport high school. Mrs, Ingram is university graduate and taught school prior to her marriage, It is interesting to know that these people stepped into the show business by the interest aroused by the presentation of their “class” play, “Merchant of Venice Up to Date.” When they started their show in 1910 they made up their minds that the policy of their shows would be an adherence to strict business principles and the word “clean’' would be their slogan. Following this line they earned for themselves the title of “In-€gram's Sunday School Show.”This name was applied in derision by show men who told them they “couldn't make it go.” But the years have proven to the contrary. The Ingrams have twlt;? of the largest and best equipped tent theatres on the road Prosprity has followed in their pathand .they leave a trail they can always go back to again.
