DAILY HERALDSaturdaTHE TURKS, one of Evansville's mot popular rock 'n roll bands, will furnish the sounds at the Jasper Deanery C.Y.O, Pool Party to be held next Friday evening from 8 to 11 o'clock. Members of the band are (from left) Bob Floyd, bass; Keith Fitzgerald, lead guitar; Mark Standring, drums; Mike Boenigk, organ; Tom Hamilton, vocal and Bryan Hartke, rhythm guitar.Admission will be $1 per person j and all Jasper Deanery C.Y.O.members are invited. The concession stand at the pool will be open.In the two years they have been organized, the Turks have played for more than 200 teen and college engagements in the tri-state area. They have several big-selling records including Dianne, Hide Away, Baja,and Wipe Out. Their reqords are played extensively by area disc jockeys and the Turks have been described a*the hottest young group in the tri-state by the men behind the microphones.The Turks combine a good sound, showmanship, harmonious singing,a professional appearance and a reputation for pleasing their crowds. They furnished the music for Burt Ward, who plays Robin on the Batman TV show when he af peared at the Shrine Circus in Evansville; they appeared with the Dick Clark * 'Where the Action Is show in Evansville, and repre-sented rock 'n roll in the Spectrum of Music at the Mesker Amphitheater.By Abieaii Van BurenDEAR ABBY: My two children have the same father and mother, but they are as different as night and day.
