REHEARSALS FOR CHEQUAM-EGON PAGEANT AT ASHLAND ARE IN FULL SWING.With less than a week before the date of the big pageant at Ashland, many who are taking part are busy rehearsing.One of the feature scenes of the pageant, which is something new in pageants, will be a lumberjack scene. Rice Lake had a scene of thistype in- their pageant this year,which proved very interesting. As the lumberjack is a vanishing type, and at one time typical of this re-gioii, it is fitting that this scene should be enacted in the country where he once held sway.Another scene is an Indian group representing an Indian romance with the burning at the stake and a thrilling rescue
