The first thing on the programme was/ Speech making at festival hall* The address of the day was made by Charles Jonas, : lieatenant-governor of Wisconsin/ The. speaker described, the present political situation^ ifi\ Bohemia and related the grievances of her people% There were other speeches after which a concert consisting exclusively of/Bo-, kemian music, was rendered. 'Antonio Dvorak, *' the * famous Behennan. com^., poser, who recently arrived in this country :was presented, and conducted his own compositions; ,ThA .-.hall . was completely tilled and the' audience joined is singing their .national./airs. Following these exercises the Sokol societies gave an athletic exhibition in the stock pavilion participated: in by ; 300 athletes. . ..
