Steiutrom Wins Anchor age Annual Soap Box DerbyJim Stenstrom, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stenstrom of Anchorage,Alaska won the recent Soap Box Derby in Anchorage, a $500 savings bond from the Chevrolet company and a trip to Akron,Ohio, Aug. 19. There he will compete against 250 other local race winners in the All-American Soap Bax Derby. Jim raced six times and won them all.Joey Stenstrom, his brother was the 1966 derby winner in Anchorage. The race is sponsored annually by the Anchorage Daily News, Alaska Sales and Service and the Alaska Sports Car club.Th e boys are grandsons of Mrs. A.M. Stenstrom of Bemidji.
