Glen Johnson At Jazz ClinicGlenn Johnson, rural Independence, is attending the fourth annual Stan Kenton jazz clinic which opened last Sunday at Indiana university. The two-week clinic is being attended by 153 young musicians from 27 states,A special feature of the clinic will be the three-day Midwest Jazz Festival to be held in the university auditorium August 17-19. With. Stan Kenton as difector, the-festival will feature the Four;Freshmen, “Cannonball” Ad-derley sextet, Franz Jackson, Dixieland band, the Kenton orchestra and many others,A large staff of nationally known musicians and arrangers will work with Mr, Kenton in teaching fundamentals of jazz. Each day's program will include one hour with Mr, Kenton, one hour of theory or arranging, one hour of section rehearsal, two hours of band rehearsal and one hour of workshop,Johnson has been a drummer with Jefferson high school J^^l£lt;iS£^P^^Independence,
