The cause of this was “Damon and Pythias,” an historical-fiction story of ancient times —to be accurate, 400 years B. C. The play was well written and well acted, the principal characters being portrayed by “stars” in the theatricalprofession.The play—“Damon and Pythias”— was an intensely interesting and gripping play, and everyone of the more than 600 people that saw it were more than pleased.The local lodge K. of P. will realizesomething like ninety dollars to the good, the amount that was turned in being $142.05. ,It is understood that this lodge will put on a play this winter that will be as far above the play of last night, as the sun is above the moon. The exact date is not known now.
