Crawfordsville, Aug. 12.—William Stonebraker, of this city, was given a pleasant surprise this week when Sebastian Stonebraker, a brother whom he had not seen for sixty years, came to his home for a visit. In 1847, during the war with Mexico, Sebastian Stonebraker, then a young man, enlisted in the regular army to help fight Uncle Sam’s battles to preserve the Stars and Stripes. He enlisted in Company G, Seventh Regiment, under Capt. Britton, serving throughout the war and had not been heard from until this week when he arrived at Wingate to visit a sister, Mrs. Lucy J. Shafer, wife of G. W. Shafer. Mr. Stonebraker is now eighty years old, but hale and hearty.
