Miss Cortenas who had been spending the evening with friends, returned home at eight o’clock, the orchestra began playing and the surprise was complete. About twenty-five people of the younger set were present. The evening was spent in music and games. After a hilarious time ice cream and cake were served by Mrs. Thena Gooden, assisted by Misses Madge Bryant and Oliva Williams.
