8T0LC A LITTLE Ol^L.Bold Attempt to Kidtap Pretty Myrtle Kankle. ot Batavia.The Aurora Herald-Express, of Aug-net 81 has the following account of an attempt to kidnap the daughter of a former Ear lville resident:There was a bold and unexplained attempt at kidnapping in Aurora this forenoon. Mrs. Albert Kunkle, of Batavia, accompanied by her two children, took the car which arrived in Aurora at 10:80 o’clock. The car was well filled with passengers. But there was room for her little daughter. Myrtle near her and she carried the baby in her arms.When the car stopped at the corner of River street and Downer Place a short, dark woman, shabbily drefesed, grabbed the little girl, jumped, off and disappeared in the crowd. The mother did not notice the;;, child’s absence until a few moments later: then, frantic, she jumped off the car as qniokly as possible and made her way back to the corner. There she saw the child running to meet her. The little one had kicked and scratohed and called to her mother and finally succeeded in breaking a wav, the woman probably fearing she would attract attention. Myrtle is only 8 years old. She is a very pretty little girl, with bright eyes and flaxen hair and has a very decided objection tohflinir iifcnlm.M
