The ladies home and foreign mission-*arv societies of the Methodist churchorganized a surprise party for Mrs. ('. L. Stafford and Mrs. Belle Coddington last evening. They were both enter; tained for tea at the home of Mr. andMrs. W. S. Mitchell, on North Main street, where their friends found them. They were each presented with a handsome silver berry spoon as a remember-ance of Mt. Pleasant friends.
