Several huge elephante stood at hand to push the heavy wagons into place on the lot.Breakfast was served to the hundreds of performers and working men a.t nine o’clock from the dining and cook tents, which were tlio first up. At 9:45 a bugle sounded the first warning and from all directions (locked -gaily dressed and uniformed participants who promptly climbed into their places on the wagons and into the line of parade. Among the novelty sensations there is Madame iDeMarce’s(bicycle riding baboons, Huson’s performing wild • animals, the .Powell troupe, the Avalions, Tetu Kob-inson and. the Weavers in wonderful high wire exploits, the Youngs, He-[Dare Warner trio, the Butlers and the Yorks in unprecedented aerial sensations and others to the number of 40, comprising many otherwell known celebrities of the air.The IJyeno trou.pp of Japanese, the Ali IBen Seal troupe of Arabianathletes, Kent’s performing seals, and many other novel and interesting acts as well as a complement of trained animal numbers, of .almost ’overy description, including four -separate herds of performing elo-iphants.
