Indian Pow Wow events continue through SundayCourier News ServiceTAMA—The annual Mesquakie Indian Pow Wow olficially opened Thursday but most events are not scheduled to get under way until Friday,The Pow Wow continues through Sunday.Activities planned for the event include Indian dances, an Indian village and an exhibit.A two-hour program will be featured each day at 2 and 7 p.m. with dance competition highlighting the event. Sunday afternoon a championsWp dance contest will be conducted.This year. Charles Pushetooequa is serving as chairman of the event with Vernon Jefferson as treasurer. Ten other men serve on the committee.
