Pow Wow begins Thursday and continuesthrough Sunday, *- ..The Indians and their visitors from other tribes will perform twice-each day. at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. They will dance in full, colorful Indian regalia as theyparticipate in-age-oldceremonial dances of their ancestors.George Buffalo, secretary of the Pow Wow committee, said this week preparation for the event has begun with everything completely managed and controlled by the Indians. Visiting Indians will set uptepees and.: wickiups on the Jowa7 river bank adjacent to the Pow Wow grounds. Tmychildren and elderly visitors in -t their seventies from- other tribes will join in the dancing to the beat of the. drums and the chanting of malj singers.,/AFTER INTRODUCTION ofthe Pow Wow Mesquakie In- ■ dian princess and her sttenlt;ianls, will be, the Shawnee, Pipe, Veterans, Shield, Buffalo 1 Head, Bean.
