Osmond Brothers coming to SpencerThe Osmond B r o t hers, a youthful foursome whose freshly-scrubbed charm has captivated millions of television fans on the Andy Williams Show, will join comic, singer, pianist and impressionist George Kibbyin the Hollywood Palace jgrand-stand show Sept. 12 and 13 at the Clay County Fair in Spencer.Appearing with tfhe Osmonds and Kirby will be a cast that includes Ann M/arston, 11-time national archery ohamp and former Miss America contestant; the Hal'f Brothers, jugglers brought to this country for the Ed Sullivan Show; Johnny Matson, a singer and comedian; Elizabeth and Collins, a knife-throwing duo with a different twist; the Cosmos, :a higfhwire trio; and Peter Palmer and his orchestra.Tickets for the Hollywood Palace the* opening two nights of the Fair and the other grandstand attractions will go on sale Aug. 15 at Third and Grand in Spencer. A number of advance requests already have been received. Other attractions include* the Joie Chitwood auto thrill sihow, a inew show for teenagers, harness racinig, chuekwagon races, two nights of a Rodeo Cowboys Association-sanctioned Tri-State rodeo and big car, midget and modified stock auto races.In addition to the grandstand attractions, the Clay County Fair will introduce this year its “Hally of a 100 Holiday Doors.” Farm Bureau units will be given 10 doors each to decorate around assigned holiday themes. The doors will provide a store house of decorating ideas. A tractor-pulling contest also will make its debut.
