GARYNEWSTIVOLI TO BE SOLD AT AUCTIONAfter playing to theater-goers for . nly a year, Gary’s newest and most up-to-date play house, the Tivoli theater, in the heart of the west side residential district at Fifth avenue and Tyler street, is to be sold on the auction block.After experiencing some rough sledding for several months before the playhouse was finally closed, the controversy was taken into Gary superior court. It was the conclusion of interested parties following a lengthy hearing before Judge Charles Greenwald that it go on the auction block for disposal.
