Lon Chaney Jr. was born Creighton Chaney, Feb. 10, 1906, in Oklahoma City. The son of film villain Lon Chaney, he began his screen career in 1932 using his real name. In 1935, he changed his name to Lon Chaney Jr. He appeared in approximately 150 features. These included his famous portrayals of Frankenstein’s monster, the Mummy and the Wolf Man. He died in 1973.
