Mountain at Music BarnThe name “Mountain” may refer to the bulk of the rock group's lead guitarist, Leslie West. West weighs in at three hundred pounds, wears buckskins and is former lead guitar of the Vagrants.In contrast, bass guitarist Felix Pappalardi is a thin, classically trained musician who started out as a studio musician, playing on albums featuring Tim Hardin, Tom Paxton, Mississippi John Hurt, Richie Havens, etc. He joined the Cream as their producer and songwriter for “Disraeli Gears,” “Wheels of Fire,” “Goodbye,” and “Best of Cream.” He also produced the Youngbloods “Get Together.”Mountain has one album out and has had tremendous success in live concert. They will appear at Music Bam in Lenox on Saturday.
