By ELEANOR MARKO1 TllOLMDEL*—Nothing is routine for the Osmond Brothers except the routine of mother.Backstage and out of the limelight, where she prefers to be, Olive Osmond is a tranquil harbor of family facts, snacksand foresight.“I am contented to be in the background as a wardrobe lady and bookkeejer,” says the mother of eight sons, six of whom are appearing in the Andy Williams Show at the Garden State Arts Center, and a daughter, Marie, 9, who is her mother's happy “shadow.”While her husband manages the myriad of details concerning the performances of the singing Osmond Brothers, Mrs. Osmond plots the family course offstage. Mottos are a hobby and they manage to abide by their favorites.“Always have a book to read out of, and one to write into,” is one Mrs. Osmond loves. She abides by it by keeping a diary, travel list, musical instrument list, expenses (income tax), and an indexed daily plan which she establishes in a notebook one year ahead. Each day has a list of financial and social “musts” such as insurance payments and birthdays and anniversaries. An opposite page each day is reserved for a record of how each plan was carried out.
