About Colored People.fA well attended meeting of the Colored Men’s Business League was held last Wednesday evening at the.Seoond Baptist church and several new mex» bers were added to the roster. Mrs.M.Washington and Dr. S. B. Alexan*were elected additional delegates to the national convention of the league at Indianapolis, August 31. Next meeting of the local league will be held Tuesday evening at Bethel A. M. E. church. IMr. Charles Penick has purchased the grocery on Bear Market street conductedfor many years by Rev* Edmund Howard. 1Mrs. E. R. Gaddie entertained a party of friends last Friday evening, in eluding the Misses Maxwell and Miss Duvaile, of Louisville, and Mrs. Grace Lncas Thompson, of Jeffersonville. 1Mrs. E. B. O.
