McKim was preaching at Marsh’s school house a number of people gathered in the grove nearby to celebrate his both birthday anniversary They brought well litied baskets. After the services Mr. H. T. Faith invited ^Rev. iMcKiio and his family home with him for dinner, and led him out to the grove where a large and bountiful table was spread with good things to eat, it being a great surprise to him. About one hundred and seventy five were present and there was plenty for ail. When they gathered at the table to eat, Rev. McKim was showered'with the nicest kind ofcards. The afternoon was fepent in preaching and singing and after the services^werejover Rev. McKim dismissed* the crowd expressing Many thanks for the kind respect they had shown him, and invited thorn to come back to sen ices at night. All left at a late hour wishing to meet Rev. McKim on many more such happy occasions, XX
