About one hundred and twenty-five invita* tions were issued, which represented ;t almost the exact number present. The arrangements were supervised by Mrs.J. Sheets, whose art of entertaining makes her young friends love to accept her hospitality. The large lawn was beautifully lighted with Japanese lanterns, while the house decorations the work of our florist, Mr* Jessie Rice, were profuse and tasty. On entering, the first to catch the eye was j mei an inner (-pen window banked with ^he potted plants, above which hung the monogram of Miss Minnie Sheets and UIW iijher friend Miss Whisler, under which 1().. they were seated and received their friends. From the upper part ot the two parlors as well as those of the sitting room were draped a lovely passion vine which fastened in the center of each room above the chandeliers, which were tastefully festooned with smilax. The effect of the whole was beautiful and much admired.
