Lexington Gains Ohio Meet BerthMAUMEE — A pair of back to back borne rims, by Mike Gunter and John Bohland iced the game and gave Lexington the sectional championship in the Little League All -Star Tournament, 9-2, over Maumee Blue here yesterday.Mike Gunter hit a three run homer in the sixth inning and pitcher John Bohland followed with a tape measure blast of 280 feet to ice the victory.Manager Stan Lammon and Coach Bill Martin will take the Lexington squad to Uhrichsville for the state tourney, starting Monday.Bohland pitched the entire game for his third tournament victory, striking out 13 while allowing only four hits. He also collected two hits, including the homer.Gunter went three for four and Marty Lammon had a trio of runs batted in for Lexington.★Second Baseman Billy Williams lived up to the manager’s predictions about his fielding and stopped a Maumee rally. With two opt in the fifth, Maumee catcher Eric Simon hit a sharp grounder that “looked like a sure two run single,” according to Manager Lammon.
