JACKSON, Miss. (AD—Theautopsy of the three civil rightsworkers showed today they had been shot to death.A pathologist, sources said,recovered bullets from all three bodies.They had been shot In thebody, either with a rifle of a pistol.There was no indication they had been mutilated, all bodies having been found intact.JACKSON. Miss CAP - Two of the three badly decomposed bodies discovered near Philadelphia, Miss., were identified today as missing civil rights workers Andy Goodman and Mickey Schwerner.The third body was believed to be that of James Chane. the Negro companion of Goodman and Schwerner. The three mysteriously vanished six weeks ago in Philadelphia, a small town in east centra! Mississippi 80 miles northeast of here.fThe FBI refused to confirm i d e n t i f i c ation of the thirdcorpse.A pathologist continued to study the bodies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center here in an effort to determine the. cause of death.The corpses were found buried deep in a 20-foot high levee under construction on a farm sixmiles southeast of Philadelphialate yesterday.The Birmingham News, in acopyrighted story from Philadel-phis, said today a reward of $30,000 led the FBI to the bodies.
