HI THE LAKE TAKES PLACEMany excursion trains took crew ds of Chicago grocers and butchers through Hammond today. The occasion is the fifth annual outing of the United Grocers' and Butchers' association, held at Monon park. Cedar I^ake.Excursion train left the Dearborn station. At the festivities programs of races and games, with appropriateprizes, have been arranged.Pota and sack races—not such as the grocers are often compelled to hold intheir stores during rush hours—will be contested by young, middle-aged and old. Prizes have been contributed by various firms. At Monon park boating will be one of the chief attractions. For those who desire to fish, accommo*datlons in the way of boats and tackle will be made. Here also the usual varslety of races wil be run, and a large number of prizes given away.
