He 'weighed 8 pounds and is the first child in the family. Mrs. Oehlert was Verna Davis, Ventura, prior to her marriage,Mr. and Mrs. Irving Lackore, Ames, spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. George Gilbert. Their son, Gene, who had been visiting Dick Gilbert, accompanied them home. Mr. Lackore, a former Clear Lake resident, xiS secretary of the Ames Chamber of Commerce.Several man-made flying saucers swooped down on Clear Lake the past week in the form' of cardboard plates advertising the Mower county fair at Austin, Minn., Aug. 5 to 10. Mrs. J. C. Norris recovered one in her yard and Allan Petersen and Jane Johnston recovered several on Carlton street.
