Surprise Shower For Newly Weds^ %Sixty friends surprised Mr. and Mrs Pat Cook, bride and groom of June 28th, by arriving at their home recently to bring them bes^ wishes for a happy married life.The first part of the evening was spent playing ball, after which all adjourned to the house where the young couple were seated beside Mrs. Jonah Cook and Mrs. Sikerthom.A lovely basket, decorated by Mrs. Charlie Tall and Mrs. Walter Beale, was brought in by P.ita Sims and and presented to the young couple the address being read by Mrs. Les. Sims.After the basket was presented Ray Tall and Goddard Olsen carried in a lovely writing desk and piesented it with best wishes from some of their young friends.The newly married couple replied suitably and a nice lunch was served after which the remainder of the evening was spent In singing, themusic being supplied by Gordon Cook and Tes. Sims.
