Since his election at Los Angeles some three weeks ago the whereabouts of Mr. Sammis has been puzzle, at least to FL B. Dalton, exalted ruler of the local lodge, who has spent a small fortune sending telegrams to “Tbe Hazel mere, ” the car in which the Sammis party is making a grand tour in tb6 West and Northwest to learn when the party would be home,The car was elusive and even the railroad people did not know where it was some of the time. However perseverance finds it reward, sometimes, and Mr. Dalton was notified in proper and fitting stylo on Saturday that the LeMars and Sioux City party of which Sammis is a member, will arrive in LeMars on Thursday evening at six o'clock. Tbe telegram was sent from Labban, Alberta, by C. C. Bradley, one of Mr. Sammis’ most active aides de camp in the late campaign ending victoriously at Los Angeles.R. B. Dalton is head of the committee in charge of the reception to be tendered Mr. Sammis. He at once on receipt of the telegram set to work with the other members of the committee to farther the preparations 'already in embryo. Some of the Elks will be here for sure, but up to last night Mr. Dalton had not been able to ascertain whether Heed’s band was coming. There will be enough noise and glory anyway. At tbe program after supper C.
