Allentown Fair expands hours for ticket salesDue to an increase in ticket sales demands, the Allentown Fair Box Office will extend its hours Thursday, August 8 through fair week, which runs August 17 through September 2.The box office, located east of the grandstand behind the Ritz Barbecue on the fairgrounds at 17th and Chew Streets, will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. all weekdays starling Thursday, August 8 through Friday, August 23.Saturday hours August 10, 17, and 24 will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Special Sunday hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m., August 18 and 25.On August 26, the day before the fair opens, the hours will be from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Hours fair week arc noon through showtimes except Monday, September 2 until 9 p.m. Hours fair week are noon through showtimes except Monday, September 2 when the box office opens at 11 a.m.Box office manager Elcanorc Sor-rcntino reports good seals arc sull available for all of the shows.Because of the capacity crowd at last year’s Sharon, Lois and Bram show, die fair offers two performances by the children’s song trio this year.
