Oden, set two new records in the Winters stadium Tuesday afternoon as they beat the Winters Dodgers in a thrilling game, with the score 4-2.After two innings of play ttte teams went into a 2-2 deadlock. Five extra innings had to be played before the tie was broken. Bronte pitcher Raymond Hernandez, set a new record for the Winters stadium by strikng out 22 on the opposition team. The Dodgers pitcher, Murray, fanned 18 Bronte boys.The winning play for Brontecame after Hernandez had doubled and Tommy Glen Sims hit a home run. This play brought the two boys in and won the game. Hernandez allowed three hits to the Winters lads while Hernandez and Victor Ivey got two hits off Murray. Tommy Sims got one off the Winters pitcher.The Bronte boys were scheduled to play Ballinger Wednesday afternoon. Norton Thursday afternoon and this afternoon the boys meet Wingate there at 5^30. On Saturday afternoon the boys will engage Wingate at 5:30. Robert Lee boys will play here at 5 Saturday afternoon.
