Whatey, Harare, TaylorandF Iwhlt;!feey; Coqlidge, D. W. Murphy; Ellabelle, R. R. Chastain; Meigs, Homer Hurst, W. R. White, jm W. Nelms, E. H. Law and A. T. fflSIli; Merrillville, M. S. Linton; Metcalfe, O. A. Thomas; Ochlock-nee, T. C. ^everly; Pavo, S. W. Webb; Thomasville, W. B. Hamble-tcn.Those who received their - invitations too late to come, having prior engagements, wrote or phoned their regrets and pledged their hearty cooperation. Among.those were, Hon. W. A. Pringle, Chairman County Commissioners; W. A. Davis, Thom-asville; William McMillan, Merrillville; Duncan. Taylor, of Boston, ’County Commissioner, was the oily nominee and was unanimously elected permanent chairman. Mr. Taylor assumed the chair and expressed his thanks for the honor,stating that the time; had ccmTKget busy and meet the situation intelligently; that in the great county mass meeting recently held:..the.work of providing labor was put tip-on the Commercial Association bu that it could only work-through™the co-operation of those who needed the labor and wereN willing to co-operate.
