INDIANS TO HOLD ANNUALPOW'-WOW AUGUST 4 TO 12.The annual pow-wow by the Mes-quakie Indians at their reservation west of Tama on the Lincoln highway will be on August 4 to 12. This year the pow-wow ought to be better than sver, for the Indians have been making extensive preparations to show their tribal customs originally to the public. They will appear in all their ancient dances and will show the white man their methods of living. The Mesquakies at Tama cling to fKe old mode of Indian life mort than any tribe in the United States. Even in the far west Indians have long ago discarded some of the old customs which are still in vogue on the Tama reservation. As a result the Tama reservation offers the public more to be seen of Indian life than any other reservation. This fact alone ought to bring visitors to the pow-wow from far distant points.
