WarsawSocialSundayWARSAW — Final preparations are being made for the £ighth Annual Riverview Park Social to be held Sunday at Riverview Community Park at the eastern edge of Warsaw.The social centers around the chicken bar-b-que being scarred from noon until 6 pLm. All side dishes are homemade and donated by people of western Coshocton County.A variety of free musical entertainment is being offered throughout the afternoon. The Coshocton Community Band wQl perform between one and two p.m. Vocal selections will be presented by Gary Rahn, Eddie Kent and Mary Lou Kent.A special attraction throughout the afternoon is the carousel band organ. First used inside a merry-go-round, the instrument has been restored to playing condition. It_ has 105 wooden pipes and is played from a roll by Its own air system. It has two sets of bellows; one for pressure to play the pipes, one for vacuum to control keying.BaBgames are scheduled for the entire afternoon at the park as follows: noon, two Warsaw T-ball- teams; 1:15, Warsaw, Peanut League (Kyle Kanuckle) versus Fresno; 2:30 Warsaw Peanut League (Woody Wilson), versus Canal Lewisville; 3:45, Warsaw Little League (Joe Prosek), versus West Lafayette; 5 p.m., Warsaw Girls Softball, ages 9 to 13 (Mary Mullet) versus Coshocton Middle School; 6:15, Warsaw Girls Softball, ages 14 to 17 (Nina SampseD, versus Glove America; 7:30, Mgn's Softball (Betty Phil’s Market), versus Gross’.An amateur swimming meet Is being planned by Troy Waybrigbt for 2 p.m. The meet is open to all ages and consists of swimming, diving and “dive for money” contests.All proceeds from the social go to retiring the $45,000 debt on the pool and maintaining the park. Cash donations will be accepted the day of the social.
