Fiddlers Tune Up Instruments For LV JamboreeSeniors in Action, recently organized non-profit group dedicated to the welfareof Nevada's senior citizens, will host members and guests next Sunday at a“get together jamboree” to be held at the Paradise Town Hall grounds on Tropicana from 1:30 p.m. onward.Members of other senior citizen organizations have been invited to attend, according to Mrs. Reginald Wild, organizer and guiding spuit of Seniors in Action, who expects upward of sot) to turn out for the affair. She said that the event will serve as an occasion to acquaint non-member senior citizens with theaims of Seniors in Action, and to solidify¥all senior citizens, especially in the Las Vegas area, into an action “voice” that won’t be silenced by political platitudes.Mrs. Wild outlined her group’s objective' as: obtaining medical, legal and spiritual aid in times of need for senior citizens; part-time jobs, shut-in visitations, transportation, recreational and intellectual activities, and social service. Membership in Seniors in Vet ion has grown, she said, to more than 1400 since the formation meeting April IS, with applications for membership continuing to pour in daily.The “jamboree” will be all that thename implies, with old-time fiddlers providing tunes for square-dancing, while entertainment will be provided by the Las Vegas Ambassadors, Sweet Adelines, a barber shop quartette and several bands.
